Batteries and disposable vapes should NEVER be placed in wheelie bins as they can cause fires in our collection vehicles.

In 2023, we dealt with 11 vehicle fires that were caused by batteries or disposable vapes.

You can put your used batteries and vapes out for collection at the same time as your bins by placing them in a clear plastic bag on top of your bin lid or food caddy (not inside).
