How to get liners for your food waste caddy
A new process for requesting rolls of liners for use in your food waste caddy has started on 15 October 2024.
Each roll has 40 liners and, once you’ve used up your roll, you can now request another free of charge.
To request a new roll, tie a liner or plastic bag to the lid of your outdoor caddy on collection day and put it out as normal with your other bin(s). Our collection crew will then provide you with a new roll when they empty your caddy. They will also remove the liner from your caddy lid to avoid another delivery the following week.
Please consider the environment when using the liners. We don’t have an unlimited stock of liners, so it will be monitored how many we deliver and where. It is estimated that 3 liners a week is reasonable and a single household will not be provided with more than 4 rolls in a year.
If you don’t have any caddy liners, you can also use newspaper, plastic bags, paper bags or supermarket-bought food waste bags. These will be removed as part of the waste treatment process.
